Medical student anesthesiology research

The Department of Anesthesiology at Wayne State University School of Medicine is dedicated to advancing the field through a robust research program that encompasses various aspects of anesthesiology. Our faculty and researchers engage in studies aimed at improving perioperative care, pain management, and patient safety.

CITI training

The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) offers a variety of online courses designed to educate participants on key ethical and regulatory issues in research. It covers essential topics needed for compliance in research settings, particularly for those involved with human subjects and animal research. All WSUSOM students interested in participating in research should complete this training.

Any PI or key personnel who is affiliated with WSU or a WSU-affiliated institution, The Detroit Medical Center (DMC), Karmanos Cancer Institute (KCI), and John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) must complete the modules assigned by WSU.
